HOURS OF OPERATION
As a designer and a mother of two little girls, I tend to have hours that can be all over the place. However, I do try to keep semi-normal hours for communication so that I can have a little bit of balance in my life. I am typically at my desk Tuesday through Friday. I try to have all weekends, holidays, and special family occasions off.
Communication is key! I want your design to be EXACTLY what you want, and I feel that the only way to achieve this is by working closely with you. I am always available via email. If you would prefer a video chat we can set one up. However, I do want to remind you that I do have two little ones, and I can not be on the phone or in video calls for hours at a time. I limit these calls to 20 or 30 minutes during my standard work hours. If the calls get excessive, or are after regular business hours I will add a fee, bill and invoice you for the time. Work will not continue until this invoice is paid. If you see that you will not be available when it is time for me to do your design, please let me know so that we can reschedule!
Booking is so easy, and can honestly be so fun! First you contact me! Then we will start the process of chatting about your project, getting to know each other a little bit, and figuring out exactly what you need. Once we are both clear on your vision and goals, I will send you a proposal for the project. Once that is approved you will receive the contract and invoice. Then sign the contract and pay the deposit to have your dates confirmed. I will give you a bit of homework (it's not hard I promise) to do. This way we are all set when we begin your design!
DEADLINES & HOMEWORK
With each project I will assign client homework and give you deadlines to complete it. This homework will include the content and images for the pages that I am designing for you. It MUST be completed for your project to start. If your project design day arrives and you have not met your deadline we will reschedule your project with an additional fee. If your 2nd project start deadline arrives and you are still not prepared, we will not reschedule again. The contract will be terminated and you will forfeit all payments made.
I understand that getting a great brand and website done for your business can be an investment. This is why I offer a payment plan when you book with me! You have the option of splitting the total into 2 (two) scheduled payments. The first payment of 50% is a non-refundable deposit that will secure your design start date. Then the final payment is due on or before the day that we begin your project! If would like to discuss breaking the payments up even further please contact us. If you are only purchasing the brand package, your final payment is due before your file or project will be delivered.
Yes, we have a contract that will be provided to you and must be signed before any projects can be started. It explains in detail these terms and conditions.
PROOFING & REVISIONS
I have built three revisions into all of my design packages. My goal is to have quality communication with you along the way. So, with any revision we are closer to the perfect design. If a project does take more than three revisions there will be an additional charge for each revision (at my discretion) on your final invoice. I will also allow edits to your website for up to 24 hours beyond the completion date. Beyond this period of time, there will be an hourly service fee for me to go in and change things.
Each blog and/or website will include a small credit to Tiffany Kuehl Designs. As long as any design elements created or coded by me are included on the site, this design credit must remain in the footer! All photos, illustrations, etc, not designed by Tiffany Kuehl Designs, LLC must be purchased by YOU. As the client you assume all legal licences, copyright and consent for using such elements.
Every single project is different, and communication will play a huge part in how long your project will take! When we book your project we will discuss a general timeline. I will keep you updated along the way. This does not mean everyday communication during the project. If I need information I will ask you for it in email form at the address you provided. Once we begin your project it could take anywhere from 2 to 12 weeks depending on the scope of work, holidays, family, weekends and any unforeseen circumstances. We want your project completed in a timely manner as much as you do!
UPDATES & FILES
I recommend that you update your blog and/or website at least every 6-12 months. I am happy to help you make these updates as you and your business grow and technology changes! I do not have the space to save all of the files for every single design that I create. I will keep your files for one year free of charge. If you would like me to do any maintenance in your site, service fees will apply.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
My goal it to make sure that you are absolutely 100% in love with your final project! I will do everything that I possibly can to make sure that you are happy. However, due to the nature of design work no refunds will be issued, no matter the point in the design process. This includes deposits paid for future scheduled work.
All original designs are the copyright of Tiffany Kuehl Designs, LLC. I also have the rights to share project details in my portfolio and on any of Tiffany Kuehl Designs social media accounts. Any images and content you have supplied are your legal responsibility for use and copyright.
