Her First Sleepover

As Easter was coming to a close, a tearful little girl walked up to me and said that she didn't want Victoria to go home! The had been playing together all day, and having so much fun, and she didn't want it to end!

She looks at me and BEGS me to let V stay the night with us. If I am completely honest with you, my first instinct was to say hell to the no. Lol. It had been a long weekend, and a long day, and all I wanted to do was plop down on my couch and relax. But the look in their eyes as they asked me made me look back and just say yes. I did tell them that once everyone left we would be doing bath time, and then relaxing before bed. There were no ifs, ands or buts about it. We needed to rest! After everyone was bathed they watched a movie from the air mattress that I put on the floor in Sydney's room while snacking on popcorn, and we watched our own movie in the livingroom.

If I am honest, an evening that I was kind of dreading, went really well! The girls were good, and had fun! Sydney didn't sleep the best, and got up a couple of times in the night because she decided to sleep on the air mattress with V rather than in her bed. But it wasn't too bad! They slept in until about 7 and then I made a fresh batch of homemade pancakes. The rest of the day was filled with laughter and playtime. Overall her first sleepover was a huge hit!

Now that I kind of know what to expect we just might do it again! Something tells me Sydney is going to be one of those kids that invites a friend over almost every weekend!
