Lately I have just had absolutely motivation to make it to the gym, and I have not been eating all that well either. It all started when time changed. I have been having THE HARDEST time adjusting. I know the clock says 5:30, but I still feel like it's 4:30. So there is no way in hell I am getting my ass out of this bed to go work out. Plus I was getting a little bored with my workout routine. So I thought that I would try something new and do some at home workouts for a little bit. A friend of mine mentioned the Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred, and after looking it up I was intrigued. It's worth a shot right?
I did a Facebook shout out saying that I was going to do it and wanted to know if anyone else would want to do it with me. I actually got responses from two of my friends who each live less than five minutes away from me. So today we will weigh in, take before photos and start Day 1 of the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. We will do it at our own homes 6 days a week and meet up once a week and do it together. I am kind of excited to see how each of our results vary and if we lose anything.
Our family is also on a cleaner diet after this weekend. We went out to eat on Friday night and we all felt awful afterwards and through to the next morning. Chris and I started talking about it and we have both had so little energy lately, and we have both gained quite a bit of weight since moving up here. I was doing really well a few weeks ago when I was eating clean and lifting weights. So we both know that our diet just has to change. I can bust my ass working out every single day if I want to, but if we aren't eating well it won't make a bit of difference. So we will be slowly finishing up what we have that isn't clean, and buying cleaner from here on out. I am excited/nervous about this part of the journey. I think if I can keep it interesting with the meals then we will be able to stick with it. It's when we start eating the same things over and over that we get bored and drive to Taco Bell.
In all honesty something has just got to change here, and I am hoping that this program paired with a cleaner lifestyle really helps! We both used to be pretty healthy, so it's just a matter of working hard to get back to that point.
