A Little Bit Of Everything

I woke up this morning and quickly realized that I didn't actually prep any posts over the weekend, and as I sit here I can't really think of any one thing that I am wanting to post about. So today your getting a mish mash post of all sorts of little things.

First of all, Happy St. Patrick's Day! I'll be honest and admit that there will be no shamrock pancakes, not green beverages, or anything like that in my house. We did have the traditional corn beef and cabbage meal a couple of days ago to celebrate early with family. But that is the extent of it. I don't know why, but it has just never really been that big of a holiday to me.

The snow is finally melting here, but it is still so freaking cold! I can't help but to constantly think of spring/summer, warm weather clothing, and warm weather activities as a family. I have even been doing a little n bit of shopping lately, and a ton of online browsing. I have lost a little weight, and am determined to keep losing, and clothing provides a lot of motivation for that. I want to have a FUN summer wardrobe, rather than just the same old same old, and I plan on building that wardrobe bit by bit. I want more dresses, more skirts, shorts, and fun tanks. My typical wardrobe is shorts, flip flops, and tees. Don't get me wrong. I will still have  plenty of that, but I want to sass it up a bit. Last week I bought my first sundress and I love it!

I got an amazing deal on this since I had a 30% coupon AND $10 in store cash to spend. So I got this dress, and a necklace to go with it for $28. I thought that was an amazing deal! What's even better is that I have the same exact deal to go back and spend over the next couple of days! Now that I know I can find dresses that actually look good, I have been eyeballing nothing but dresses! Those generally cost more than tops, so I thought it would be smart to use the great deal on an item like that. These are a few of my favorite contenders. I have a really good idea as to which one i am going to get, but I would love to know which one is your favorite!!! Each photo is linked to the site to check out.

There are not currently a ton of posts sitting in my draft folder waiting to be published. There are one or two, but that is it, and they are waiting on images before I can really post them. I can not wait until the warm weather gets here and more posts are outdoor fun posts. If I am honest I haven't left my house much in the last few days because it has been butt cold, and I have been trying to get as much work as possible done.

I am getting way better at styling my short hair. If I am honest, even though I normally LOVE my hair stylist, I don't think she did a very good job on my haircut, which is a bit disappointing. I am going to let it grow a little bit and then go and get the layers redone so that I like it more. Right now I hate it straight, but I LOVE IT curly. So most of the time it is curled right now. Luckily curling it once usually lasts two days so I am not always in the  bathroom working on my hair. I might even have a tutorial coming soon on how I do my hair since I had a few friends mention that they would like one. So hopefully some time this week I will get it together and do a video for you guys. I can not even tell you how nervous this makes me. But I really want to start doing video logs on here and I think this might be a great way to start.

As you know, normally my amazing husband takes pictures for me to post on the blog. He has been telling me the ins and outs about our camera, but I typically don't really understand it. Yesterday I actually started playing with the camera and I got a couple of really good shots! I am learning!! I may never be as good as he is, but I think that I will have fun doing a couple of shoots of my own when it warms up. This means I might actually have a husband in some photos on here. Lol!

Hubby and I actually got a day to ourselves last Thursday. This is a RARE occurrence for us. But Grandma wanted to take her for the day, and Sydney LOVES her "Grandma Days". So after they left we got ready, I of course had to wear something cute and do my hair in a way that I know he really likes, and then we went out. We went and had sushi for lunch, went to a couple of stores we normally avoid with a toddler, and went antiquing. We didn't really go and do anything huge, but it was so amazing to have a day that I could just spend with him and know that Sydney was having fun as well.

If your looking for me over the next day or so I will be cleaning every inch of my house or working. Our guest left yesterday and I have some major straightening up to do, as well as several loads of laundry! Isn't it funny how quickly laundry can build up for three people?

Recently we moved my office out into the dining room to make room for our visitor. At first I was a little iffy on this, but now that I have been using it for a couple of weeks I kind of love it. I am more in the middle of everything, and don't feel tucked away in the corner of the house. Now that the room that used to be my office is cleaned out, I don't even think I am moving my desk back in there. We have actually discussed leaving it clean, adding a yoga mat and a couple of weights and making it my own little fitness room for when I don't make it to the gym. At this point I am not sure if we will actually do it, but it sounds amazing doesn't it?!?

Sometimes a random post is just what you need to clear your head.
