If there is one place in this little town that I just absolutely love, it would be our library! Sydney feels the exact same way about it as I do! A year or so ago we started attending story time on Wednesday mornings. Because of story time we made friends and started to feel like we were actually LIVING here. Any time that we need a place to go, just to get out of the house for a few minutes, the library is right there. Sydney always runs to the door with so much excitement, and never wants to leave.
Our library has a seperate children's library completely closed off from the other half of the building, so the kids always feel at home and are kind of free to play and read. I love it! But the best part of our library might be the librarian. Mrs. Foster is such an amazing woman! Sydney fell in love with her right away, and looks for her the moment that we enter the building.
She is so great with the kids, and can really draw you into a story. She is someone who obviously loves her job, and loves getting to know the kids and watch them grow.
As Sydney started school this year, I worried that we wouldn't be able to attend story time every week anymore, but they hold a pre-k story time at 10:00 on Wednesday, and she doesn't have to be at school until 12:20. So it worked out perfectly!
I know that we will not live in this town forever, and eventually Sydney will outgrow the children's library, but until then we will use it as an escape every once in a while. This will always be a favorite of mine, and I don't think any other library around here can compare.
